Basic Principles And Parts Of Stamping Compound Die

Composite mold has multiple processes for processing workpieces (such as material, punching, embossing, and stretching), so it is called composite mold; because its guide post is inverted, it is also called flip chip; and sometimes because it is only after stamping The process part is the shape of the product without punching, embossing, etc.), also known as the blanking mold; sometimes it is also called punching, blanking mold, and notch mold.
The main function of the composite mold is blanking, which is the expanded shape of the product after blanking. In addition, punching, embossing, stretching, tooth extraction, etc. will be added in this process. Usually the first process.
1 The function of the upper mold base: to maintain the precision of the punching die, to fix the upper and lower dies, and to facilitate the die setting. The general material is A3 iron material; or S50C material without a backing plate to save costs.
2. The function of the empty board: to place the spring box or Youli glue to increase the spring stroke. The form of the empty board is to cut a square hole in the middle of the A3 material, and the waste is usually brought back by the customer. The empty board is thicker, and sometimes it can be replaced by an upper pad (foot).
3. The function of playing the board: the board is also called the upper bearing board. Its main function is to bear the pressure and the backing plate is similar. Generally, 45# is used, and sometimes it is heat treated to 45°.
4 The function of the upper backing plate: to prevent the punch from intruding into the die base. At this time, the CR12 material used as the backing plate,
The HRC after heat treatment is 42°~45° and the characteristics of 45# steel itself, so the heat treatment of the backing plate is only around 45 at this time. .
5. The function of the upper splint: to fix the punch, spring and upper die holder. The upper splint is used for fixing and does not bear force, so 45# iron material is used, and some companies also use C45. The splint does not require heat treatment, and it is easy to process in subsequent steps such as mold repair, design change, and mold modification with soft materials.
6 The function of the female template: interact with the male mold to punch out the expanded shape of the product. The material of the master mold is generally CR12MOv, SKD11, DC53
7 Functions of the male template: interact with the female template, punch out the expanded shape of the product, and interact with the punch for punching, stretching, embossing, etc. Under normal circumstances, the male and female molds will be shared by tapers. The height of the straight body will be determined according to the punched material and the thickness of the plate, but generally not less than 3.0mm. When the male and female molds come out at the same time, the female mold cuts the product shape without leaving a gap, that is, a single +0.0 cut; the male mold has a punching and shearing gap, that is, a single -5% t. The material of the male mold is generally CR12MOv, sKD11, DC53
8 Functions of internal and external stripping: stripping and pressing to protect the punch. In some branches, it is also called the upper and lower stripping boards, and the internal and external shit boarding. They are usually shared like the male and female boards, the difference is that the inner and outer boards are used for shared use. The higher the order, the higher the accuracy of the timing. Their material is usually Cr12 and so on. When the inner stripping plate is placed in the gap, it is only -0.02 cuts than the female formwork, and the outer stripping plate is +0.02 cuts than the male formwork.
9 The function of the lower splint: the fixed guide column, the insert block, the spring and the lower mold base play a fixed role. Its material is A3 or 45#.
10 The function of the lower die base: to maintain the precision of the die and to facilitate the die set-up.
The working stroke of the mold during the stamping process is: when the upper and lower molds are closed by the force of the punching machine, the inner stripping plate and the outer stripping plate act on the pressing material at the same time to compress the punching material. At this time, the punch continues to go down, and due to the stroke allowance of the inner and outer plates, it will shrink up and down at the same time; at this time, the male and female dies and punches start to contact the punching material and punch and shear. When the stroke of the punch press is reached, the upper and lower molds will start to separate, and the inner stripping plate will be pressed against the punching plate by the force of the rebound of Youli glue ① and then passed to the inner stripping plate through the punching rod ③ to remove the punched workpiece from the mother template Ejection; the outer stripping plate will go upward under the resilience of the spring ⑦, and eject the waste that is set on the male formwork. Under normal circumstances, the workpiece and the waste will not be separated, and they need to be tapped lightly to separate. In the stamping factory, there will be knocking on the guide post, but this customary practice is not recommended, because it may cause the guide post to be misaligned; some companies will add a knock on the workbench of the punch press block, and take out the workpiece after tapping.
